Dr. Denotris R. Jackson has served as Executive Director of the Mississippi School Boards Association (MSBA) since 2020 and is the first woman, first African American, and first former school board member to hold the position. Since joining MSBA in 2007, she has led initiatives in board development, policy, advocacy, technology, communications, and governance.A former member and president of both the Clinton Public School District Board of Trustees and the MSBA Board of Directors, Dr. Jackson brings firsthand experience in school governance. She created MSBA's Prospective Superintendent Leadership Academy, which has helped prepare more than 75 superintendents and numerous district leaders across Mississippi. She has also been instrumental in developing MSBA's online policy, board meeting, and training platforms.Dr. Jackson holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a frequent presenter at state, regional, and national education conferences.
