About me
SRO Lt. Jordan Kelley holds a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Athens State University and a Master of Justice Administration from Faulkner University. As a 18-year veteran of public safety, he has held several positions throughout his career with two (2) separate departments. Most recently, Lt. Kelley was assigned as the SRO Unit Supervisor following its creation in 2019 between collaboration with the Sheriff’s Office and Board of Education. Lt. Kelley has served on community college planning committees as well as community service projects and committees. Previously, Lt. Kelley served as a patrol deputy and supervisor, a criminal investigator and fire/arson investigator with a Major Crimes Unit, and also a traffic homicide investigator and SRO with his prior department. Lt. Kelley is an active NASRO Instructor and working to further best practices recommended by NASRO in Cherokee County, surrounding areas, and other states. Lt. Kelley also serves as NASRO Region 6 Director representing Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Networking with other SROs has been a privilege to him and has helped build a better understanding with local school board members and employees to develop the best program possible.
